During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, there was a high demand but low supply of hand sanitizer. Our Memphis manufacturing facility quickly transitioned production from Coppertone to hand sanitizer to support hospitals, nursing homes, and the community. NIVEA, Aquaphor, and Eucerin were also donated to hospitals across the country to combat the dry skin that comes with constant hand washing.
Colleagues participate in an annual coat drive through Person to Person where new or lightly used coats, hats, mittens, gloves, scarfs, etc are collected and provided to the local community every winter. Product donations are also frequent throughout the year on a rolling basis to support communities across the country.
Marrying our passion of skin care with our corporate purpose to care beyond skin, we have partnered with the Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types (FIRST) to launch our Make a Difference initiative — Beiersdorf’s first global social mission project and community outreach program designed to lift up teenagers and young adults with ichthyosis by building their skills and confidence and promoting social inclusion and reducing stigmatization.
Every holiday season, all colleagues come together to give back. Whether it is delivering games, stuffed animals, puzzles, books to hospitals and senior living facilities, or building bikes for children in the community, we come together to spread smiles.
Look Good Feel Better is an organization that supports cancer patients gain confidence in their appearance post treatment. Moved by the mission, Beiersdorf US is committed to supporting Look Good Feel Better reach their annual fundraising goal and help as many patients as possible – and everyone comes together to contribute.
